Solubility: In water, 33 ppm @ 25 C; 52,000 ppm in chloroform; 183,000 in DMSO.

Usage: Selective systemic herbicide used for pre- and post-emergence control of annual broad-leaved weeds and annual grasses. Inhibits photosynthetic electron transport. Phytotoxic to most crops; maize tolerance attributed to rapid detoxification by glutathione transferases. Strongly retained by soil colloids, with a median half-life of ~40 days.
