This cell has two electron-dense bodies (boxed). We hypothesize that these structures represent material that has aggregated in a way that faciltates preservation or activity of the material. This may include proteins formerly associated with the carboxysome-like structures.
The loosened, multilamellar membranes are bounded by the arrowheads. The lower pair of arrows indicate a section of the membrane invaginating into the cell.
